I am very proud of the innovative creative talents, work and dedication that Kathy Miller and Tekla Frederick have put into Pacific Northwest Childcare Network.
A project idea like this can only come from providers who have the experience and knowledge to know what is needed in the provider community. This training organization is a model for others in the state to take charge of creating interesting trainings and workshops that will keep the interest of providers and satisfy the training qualifications required. Making these trainings so very affordable in these economic times is to be commended and speaks to their innovation.
I have witnessed there dedication, compassion, and willingness to volunteer their time and energy to family child care providers. You only have to ask these ladies and they are there for you. Our own Association here in Seattle, North King County Family Child Care Association hired the talents of Kathy Miller to create our wonderful website. She did this in just 2 days flat. What an amazing job and we are very grateful.
Please support the efforts of this great training organization.

Finally, an affordable option for Washington Licensed Childcare Providers, Oregon Certified Providers and Childcare Centers to come together for networking, resources and high quality STARS classes and Workshops.
"There is always a moment
in childhood when the door opens and lets the future in."
Tekla Frederick and Kathy Miller, Founders of the Pacific Northwest Childcare Network, recognize the necessity to reach out to the community in an attempt to meet present needs of providers and the children they serve. Both have been doing valuable work through their local Chapter of WSFCCA in the Vancouver Area for the past two years. They have shown their commitment to children and the provider community by continuously striving to increase networking and collaboration to assure quality early learning programs are available to all children. I encourage and support them as they strive to offer High Quality STARS Classes and Workshops for providers.
I know they will make The Pacific Northwest Childcare Network a success.

“We think paramount to the safety and health of children is that all providers are well-trained. It’s nice to see that PNWCCN also feels this importance and is willing to act upon those ideals.”

It was a privilege to attend the very first meeting of the PNWCCN. Enthusiasm was high and future training sign-up sheets filled up quickly. I look forward to wonderful things from this group of dedicated providers.

Congratulations Kathy and Tekla on your new networking group. This is great! You have constantly shown ideas, and activities that bring our childcare to a new level of quality. The environment itself is also a significant factor. We providers are learning to enhance our productivity, plan and design effective learning environments and experiences supported and taught by this group.
The Quality STARS classes are really in demand. You constantly provide beneficial and educational classes that can meet and excel the benchmarks and Early Learning Standards.
We needed a provider support networking like this years before.
Thanks
